The Shoreline Restoration Project was done as a demonstration site to show the alternatives to rock only shoreline protection.  This project will restore a native shoreline improving aesthetics and aquatic and wildlife habitat. 

Major project activities included:

  1. Bio Log installed at the shoreline to break up wave action
  2. Native aquatic plant plugs were planted into the bio log for long term shoreline protection
  3. Native wet meadow and upland plants and plugs with mulch were planted in the transitional area between the shoreline and top of the bank.

Project funding: Total project cost was $1,368.00

  2. Scott WMO ($1,026 - 75%)
