Buffer Laws: What you need to know.

A new map -- showing the 90,000 miles of Minnesota waterways identified as requiring permanent buffer protection – was published today (check it out at the link below).

 

Landowners will now work with their local Soil and Water Conservation District and Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources staff to implement the buffer strips, which help filter pollutants and sediment out of our rivers, lakes, streams and public ditches, preserving water quality and protecting one of our most valuable natural resources: clean water.
